Lisa and Jr. Thrash and Larry and Tonya James of Minden, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Landy LeAnn James to Jarred Lee Evans of Winnsboro. He is the son of Carl and Sue Evans of Winnsboro.

The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Wayne and Betty Gray of Sibley, La. and the paternal granddaughter of Alton and Peggy James of Minden.

She is a graduate of Minden High School and is currently attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Coy L. Winters and the late Irene Winters of Winnsboro and the paternal grandson of Alice Shaw of Winnsboro and the late Carl Evans, Sr. of Delhi.

He is a graduate of University High School.

The wedding is set for August 2, 2008, at the two o'clock in the afternoon at the United Pentecostal Church of Minden. The Rev. Jeff Ramsey will officiate the ceremony.

The church is located at 609 Goodwill Street in Minden. Friends and relatives are invited to attend through this medium.
