 Jessie and Mildred Harris announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Carkinda Evette, to Tommy Lee Young, son of Mary Young Amos and Tommy Lee Jenkins of Monroe.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Rufus Smith, Sr. and Katie Smith of Mangham and the late Jessie and the late Sadie Harris of Mangham.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Gladys Jones and Clark Gable Norman of Monroe, the late T.J. Lynch of Mangham, the late Birteal Miley of Mangham, the late Prince Jenkins and the late Nancy Colvin of Mangham.
She is a graduate of Mangham High School and is currently employed at Wal-Mart in Winnsboro.
He is a graduate of Mangham High School and is currently employed with D & J Construction of West Monroe.
The wedding is set for six o'clock in the evening on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at the Rayville Civic Center. The Rev. E.J. McFarland will officiate the ceremony.
