Community gathers for 2nd Annual Freedom Fest
Beautiful skies and warm temperatures welcomed guests to the Lowentritt Pavilion on July 4, 2008, for the Second Annual Freedom Fest.
The event is sponsored by the Winnsboro-Franklin Chamber of Commerce in recognition of the veterans who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today.
Many activities were enjoyed by those in attendance, including a flag ceremony to honor war veterans. Emily Arnold served as emcee for the afternoon and Judy Long entertained the crowd with an a cappella performance of the "Star Spangled Banner."
