Frances Carradine Chinn
Funeral services for Frances Carradine Chinn, 83, of Wisner were held Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Wisner. Burial followed at Hope Estate Cemetery under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Chinn, a housewife, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
She is survived by her sons: Fred Chinn Sr., Johnny Ray Chinn, Isreal Chinn, William Chinn, Cecil R. Chinn, James D. Chinn, and Ritchie Chinn; daughters: Mary Chinn England and Creoloar Chinn; sister: Pearl Wilson; brother: George Carradine; 24 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Sons and grandsons served as pallbearers.

Vera Gales
Funeral services for Vera Gales, 53, of Newellton were held Sunday at Paradise Baptist Church with Rev. Redden officiating.
Burial followed at Routhwood Cemetery under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mrs. Gales died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. She was a nurses assistant.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Gales; sons: Tyrone, Thomas and Quendarian Gales; daughter, Shamone Gales; sisters: Virginia Flowers, Ida M. Petty, Eloise Flowers; brother, Willie Flowers; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Petty, Lavater Petty, Alonzo Petty, Joseph Petty, Willie Joe Petty and Andrew Perry.

Eleanor Nethery Gilmore
Funeral services for Eleanor Nethery Gilmore, age 83, of Fort Necessity were held Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Fort Necessity Baptist Church with Rev. Don Blackmon and Rev. Benton Moore officiating Services were under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Gilmore was born to William and Sally Hudson Nethery on Dec. 8, 1924 and she passed from this life on Friday, July 4, 2008 at Charlyn Nursing Home in Winnsboro.
She was a member of the Fort Necessity Baptist Church. She liked to read and work crossword puzzles. She also loved music and jigsaw puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: James Barlow Gilmore; three brothers; three sisters; and brother-in-law: Johnny Gilmore.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Boles, Ricky Campbell, Jamie Dubreuil, Joe Foy, Lee Laurent, and Tommy Wollerson.

Hazel Parker
Funeral services for Hazel Parker, 89, of Winnsboro, were held at Wayside Pentecostal Church on Sunday, July 6, 2008 with Rev. Tommy Cotton, Rev. Roger Pete, Rev. Eric Day, and Rev. Norris Poole officiating. Interment followed at Harris Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Parker was born Feb. 13, 1919 in Winnsboro, and passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Franklin Medical Center Winnsboro. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a homemaker, and a member of the Wayside Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar M. Williams; mother, Queen Victoria (Roark) Williams; first husband, Henry Parker; second husband, Louis Parker; sons: Henry G. Parker and N. L. Parker; three brothers: Durham Williams, Homer Williams, Lee Williams; two sisters: Daisy Wiggins and Mildred Wiggins.
Survivors include three sons: Nathan Parker of Keithville, La.; Willie Parker and Perry Parker, both of Winnsboro; two daughters: Shirley Smith and Audrey Reid, both of Winnsboro; eight step-children; 17 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Isaac Currington, David Currington, Gerald Houston, Ronald Guimbellot, Brandon Pylant, and Eddie Huacuja.
Honorary Pallbearers werer deacons of Wayside Pentecostal Church.

Orrin Oliver Murray
Funeral services for Orrin Oliver Murray, 90, of Crowville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Crowville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Dowden officiating.
Interment will follow at Faith Memorial Cemetery in Delhi under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Murray was a member of Crowville First Baptist Church, and the American Legion. He was a retired store owner as well as retiring from Carbon Black Plant in Sterlington.
Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his parents Grant and Bell Murray; his first wife Grace Baker Murray; and his second wife, Tommy Scoggins Murray.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Oliver Murray, Monroe; two step-daughters: Diane Crane, Fairview, Texas; and Patsy Holloway, Dallas, Texas; and a nephew Shelton Baker, Delhi.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, at Crowville First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Doug Moore, Lynn Clement, Mike Hammons, Kenneth Peters, Nick Poulos, and Glen Williams.

Darlene Turnage
Funeral services for Darlene Turnage, 72, of Vidalia, La., were held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3, 2008 with Rev. Kelly Tingle and Rev. Ron Ledford officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Hale Cemetery, Baskin under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Turnage was born Jan. 29, 1936 in Mangham, and passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at Natchez Regional Medical Center in Natchez. She was a resident of Vidalia, formerly of Baskin, a retired postal carrier, owner of her own business and cafe', and a member of the Lone Cherry Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Turnage, Sr.; father, Alonzo B. Nobles, Sr.; mother, Mamie (Weston) Nobles; infant son, Mark Turnage; brothers: A.B. Nobles and Emmitt Nobles; sisters: Gladys Eubanks and Estelle Stephens.
Survivors include her daughter, Geneva T. Jordan of Vidalia; son, Allen Turnage of Bush, La.; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers: James "Bo Bo" Nobles, Harvey Nobles, and Ronald Nobles; three sisters: Kathleen Eubanks, Dovie Gandy, and Connie Burrows; host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Rayne Jordan, Joseph Delahoussaye, Roger Warren, and Thomas Nobles.
