Wisner man dies in accident
by Michael DeVault - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
A Wisner man died from injuries suffered in a one vehicle crash early on Sunday, June 15 in Franklin Parish.

According to Louisiana State Police spokesman Mark Dennis, Nathanial Hunter Haring, 21, was driving east on La. 562 near milepost 10 when he lost control of his 2007 Ford pickup.

Dennis said the accident began when Haring apparently crossed the centerline.

"The driver then over corrected back across the eastbound lane and ran off the right side of the road where the truck entered a ditch," Dennis said. "The truck rolled several times before striking a sign and coming to rest."

It is unknown why Haring crossed into the opposite lane, Dennis said.

Haring was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Franklin Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash.

Toxicology tests are pending to determine if alcohol was a factor.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Young's Community Fun-eral Home.
