Turkey Creek tourney June 21
The first Turkey Creek Big Bass Splash bass tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 21 on Turkey Creek.
There will be hourly payouts based on 100 entries at $75 per person and sponsors will provide "bonus bucks."
Registration will be on Friday, June 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Power Sports on Hwy. 15 south in Winnsboro.
The tournament begins one hour before sunrise on June 21 and ends at 3 p.m.
Boats may be launched from any landing accessible by boat from Turkey Creek.
The minimum length for bass is 14 inches and no contestant may have more than two bass in their possession at any time during the contest.
This is a catch and release tournament and all fish will be returned to Turkey Creek after the tournament ends.
Payout for each hour, beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. will be: 1st place – $300 plus bonus bucks; 2nd place – $200 plus Bonus bucks; 3rd place – $100 plus bonus bucks; and 4th place – $75 plus bonus bucks.
The overall payout will be: 1st place – $1,000 plus bonus bucks; 2nd place – $500 plus bonus bucks; 3rd place – $250 plus bonus bucks; 4th place – $200 plus bonus bucks and 5th place – $150 plus bonus bucks.
