Story Archives: Burglaries prompt reward

Burglaries prompt reward
by Hope Young - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the burglaries of seven Winnsboro businesses early in the morning on Friday, May 30, according to Winnsboro Police Chief Lester Thomas.

"We are offering a substantial reward for information on who did these burglaries," Thomas said. "If you know anything about these break-ins, please call Winnsboro Crime-stoppers at 435-7700 or the sheriff's office at 435-4505."

Callers with information will remain confidential, Thomas said.

Thomas said the May 30 burglaries are not related to three earlier burglaries, because the three adults involved in those are still in jail. The juveniles arrested in those crimes were released to their parents. (See related story, Page 4A)
